Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)

This is a complex syndrome, which has been redefined in recent years as 2 or more of the following:

- presence of multiple small (immature) ovarian cysts seen on ultrasound

- presence of hyperandrogenic symptoms (hirsutism, cystic acne -- due to elevated testosterone)

- anovulation

Blood sugar dysregulation is involved as well, so the treatment must consist of dietary changes and purification protocols, in order to clear out the excess testosterone.  Your Luteinzing Hormone (LH) may also be staying high, such that home ovulation predictor kits (OPKs) are constantly showing that you are ovulating, when your doctor has told you that you are not.  This is an incredibly frustrating condition, but may be treated with herbs, dietary changes, and detoxification protocols.
